Book of Mormon Haiku: 1st Nephi 16

The Liahona

The daughters of Ishmael

Bless'd exceedingly

1 Nephi 16 - The wicked take the truth to be hard; Lehi's sons marry the daughters of Ishmael; The Liahona guides their course in the wilderness; Messages from the Lord are written on the Liahona from time to time; Ishmael dies, his family murmur because of afflictions.

Nephi uses the phrase "blessed of the Lord exceedingly" only once--in connection with his marriage to one of the daughters of Ishmael. Verily, verily, it is not good for man to be alone.

=] You know what, one of the things that really stands out to me the most from memories of your lectures is how you always talked about marriage and women. I could always tell how much you reverenced, valued, and respected them. Thank you!
